Sustainable Grenadines, a local trans-boundary environmental protection NGO located in Union Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, has been the primary champion for community conservation projects between SVG and Grenada.

 

In addition to partially funding the restoration of the Ashton Lagoon and mangrove in Union Island, SVG, we disbursed small grants in support of other activities, such as: apiculture, coral restoration, beach cleanups, and connecting kids with nature.

 

SusGren was able to organize summer camps on various islands for local students to learn how to swim and snorkel with new gear donated to individual participants, while getting educated about the importance of preserving the marine environment.
