The Explorers Club Stephenson Explorers Advancement (SEA) Program is a multi-year project sponsored by the Foundation and implemented by TEC New York

The aim is to offer competitive grants to young explorers conducting marine exploration and conservation field work.

The grant cycle repeats every fall with deadline for applications on Nov. 15 for grants to be disbursed the following year. Final selections are announced in April/May with four grantees selected. Past and current grantees conduct field work in coral restoration, eDNA surveys, shark monitoring and conservation, turtle protection and education, radiation in fish research ranging from the Marshall Islands to Indonesia, the Maldives, West Africa, Florida, and to the Canadian Pacific coast.
